MCMILLAN AND ALLIED FAMILIES
This family history was written by my father, R. H. McMillan, Jr. and published in 1973. It took about 12 years to compile the information, which lists most of the descendants of Daniel McMillan (1778-1838) of NC, and his wife Margaret Smith (1785-1821). The book contains 924 pages of family data, an appendix of 24 other early McMillan families, as well as, an index. This hard-back book contains information on our family in south Georgia and across the United States.
CONNELL-MORRIS AND ALLIED FAMILIES
This book was also written by my father R. H. McMillan, Jr. and published in 1985. His mother was Martha Irene Connell and her mother was Sarah Mryann Elizabeth Morris. In the first section he listed the descendents of James Endleman Connell, Jr. b. 1770 and Sarah Reeves b. 1780. The second section lists the descendents of Edmund William Morris b. ca. 1756 and Sarah Jane Darling b. 1767. There is an appendix listing other early families in south Georgia. These families include Carter, Gaskins, Harkins, Henderson, Lawrence, Lindsey, McCranie, Morris, Nobles, Sumner, Sutton, and Young. This hard-back book, including the index, is 1123 pages.
IRWIN COUNTY FLETCHERS AND OUR KIN
My Mother's Mother was Nancy Louise Fletcher Green. After the McMillan book was published, she worked compiling data for this Fletcher family history and published it in 1985. The book starts with William Fletcher b. 1729, his son Joseph Fletcher, Sr. b. 1762, and his son Joseph Fletcher, Jr. b. 1781. It lists the descendents of Joseph, Jr. in a hard back and indexed book with 1074 pages. This also includes a small amount of information on a Henderson family and a Lawrence family, who were friends of the Fletchers.
